ABDM, explained — and where Clyno stands
This page explains what ABDM and ABHA are. It also says plainly that Clyno is not connected to ABDM today. It is an explainer, not a feature page.
Clyno is not ABDM-connected today
To say it in one line: Clyno is not ABDM-registered, not ABDM-certified, and not ABHA-enabled. There is no ABHA number field in Clyno, and Clyno does not send or receive any record through the ABDM gateway. Nothing on this page should be read as an ABDM, ABHA, HIP, FHIR or ISO claim. We have not built it, so we do not claim it. If we build it, we will rewrite this page.
What ABDM actually is
Four pieces make up India's digital health system. All four are parts of ABDM — none of them are Clyno features.
ABHA health ID
A 14-digit Ayushman Bharat Health Account. It lets a patient link and share their records digitally, with consent.
Health records sharing
Records move between providers when the patient consents, so their history can follow them from one clinic or hospital to another.
Facility & doctor registries
The Health Facility Registry (HFR) and Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR) — government directories of clinics and clinicians.
Consent is required
Under ABDM, nothing moves without the patient saying yes. This is how ABDM is designed; it is not a description of a Clyno feature.

Every visit is stored as separate fields — complaints, diagnosis, medicines, vitals, lab values — not as a scan or a blob of text. This is the only item on this list that exists in the product.

We are writing this plainly because a lot of software says 'ABDM ready' when it means nothing. If that changes, we will change this page.
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is the Government of India's programme to build a connected digital health system — health IDs (ABHA), registries of doctors and facilities, and sharing of health records between providers with the patient's consent.
ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is a 14-digit health ID. It lets a patient link and share their health records digitally, with consent, across providers that are connected to ABDM. Clyno does not store or verify ABHA numbers today.
No. Clyno is a complete clinic system on its own — EMR, AI scribe, prescription copilot, token queue, billing and follow-ups — and none of it depends on ABDM.
Not through ABDM. What you can do today is print a visit, download the prescription PDF, send it to the patient on WhatsApp, or export a patient's record from Clyno and hand it over. That is a manual hand-off, not ABDM record-linking.
It should help, but we are not promising anything. Clyno already stores each visit as structured fields — diagnosis, medicines, vitals, lab values — instead of scanned paper, and any record-sharing system needs structured data. Whether that data is accepted in ABDM's own format is a separate piece of work that has not been done.
No. Nothing in Clyno is shared with ABDM, because Clyno is not connected to ABDM. Inside Clyno, WhatsApp messages to patients go only where the patient has given consent.
Clyno is useful today, without ABDM
If ABDM is what you need right now, Clyno is not the answer — we will say so. If you want your OPD notes, prescriptions, queue and follow-ups in one place, that part is built and you can try it.
